General Terms and Rental Terms for Bambini Bricks
These general terms apply to all products and services offered through the webshop of Bambini Bricks, owned by Bambini Bricks, located in Mechelen. By using our website and placing an order, the consumer agrees to these terms. We recommend reading these terms carefully for a transparent and safe purchasing experience.
A. General Terms

2. Applicability and Acceptance
- Scope: These terms apply to every offer from Bambini Bricks and to every distance contract concluded via www.bambinibricks.com. By placing an order on our webshop, the consumer acknowledges and accepts these terms.
- Priority: Any terms from the customer are expressly rejected.
- Changes: Bambini Bricks may amend these terms. Each order is subject to the terms applicable at the time of ordering. The current version with effective date is listed on the website.
3. The Offer and Prices
- Product information: Each product is described and displayed on the website with care and accuracy. Images serve as illustrations and may differ slightly from the actual product. Safety warning: not suitable for children under 3 years (small parts).
- Prices: All prices are in euros and [exempt from VAT under the small enterprise scheme; no VAT charged], excluding shipping costs unless stated otherwise.
- Changes: Price adjustments are possible at any time, but changes after placing an order do not affect the agreed price.
- Availability: Bambini Bricks strives to maintain an up‑to‑date offer. In exceptional cases of stock shortages, the consumer will be informed and refunded if applicable.
- Obvious errors: Obvious mistakes or errors (e.g., pricing) do not bind Bambini Bricks.
4. Ordering and Payment
- Ordering process: Placing an order via our website is binding. The consumer receives a confirmation email once the order is completed.
- Payment methods: We offer secure payment options, including bank transfer and online payment methods. Payment must be completed in full at the time of ordering.
- Order confirmation: After receiving the payment, a confirmation email is sent containing the order details. If you do not receive it, please contact us via https://bambinibricks.com/contact.
5. Delivery and Shipping
- Delivery time: Orders are generally processed and shipped within 3 working days. During busy periods, delivery may take longer. We will inform you by email about the progress.
- Shipping costs: Shipping costs are calculated during checkout and depend on the delivery address and total weight of the order.
- Delivery and receipt: The consumer is responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. In case of incorrect information, Bambini Bricks is not liable for lost packages.
6. Right of Withdrawal and Return Policy
- Right of withdrawal: The consumer has the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days after receiving the product, without giving any reason. The consumer must notify this in writing or by email.
- Return conditions: Products must be returned in their original condition, unused and in the original unopened packaging. Products that are damaged, used or opened are not eligible for a full refund.
- Return shipping costs: The cost of return shipping is borne by the consumer.
- Refund: After receiving and inspecting the return, the purchase amount of the product will be refunded within 14 days to the same account used for payment. The “standard” outbound shipping costs are also refunded.
7. Warranty and Conformity
- Warranty: Our products come with a legal warranty of conformity as determined by Belgian law: 2 years. This means the product is free from defects at the time of delivery and meets the specifications as described on our website.
- Exclusion: The warranty expires in case of damage caused by misuse, improper maintenance, modifications by the consumer, or other circumstances beyond the control of Bambini Bricks.
8. Liability
- Limitation of Liability: Bambini Bricks is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, or loss resulting from the use of our products, unless such damage is caused by intent or gross negligence on our part.
- Product information: The consumer is responsible for following the instructions and warnings provided with the products. Defects resulting from improper use are not covered by our liability.
- Maximum Liability: If Bambini Bricks is found liable, this is limited to the value of the ordered products.
9. Complaints and Disputes
- Complaints: Complaints about products or services can be submitted via https://bambinibricks.com/contact. Please clearly mention the order number and a description of the complaint. Bambini Bricks aims to respond to complaints within 2 working days.
- Resolution of Disputes: If a complaint cannot be resolved satisfactorily, the consumer may turn to a competent court in Belgium. Belgian law applies to all agreements.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
- All texts, images, designs and logos on the Bambini Bricks website are protected by intellectual property rights and may not be used or reproduced without permission.
- Trademarks and LEGO disclaimer: LEGO, the LEGO logo, the minifigure and all related logos and product names are trademarks of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this product/service. All other trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners. Images and content on our website may not be reproduced without prior written permission from the rights holders.
11. Final Provisions
- Severability: If any provision in these terms is found to be void or invalid, the remaining provisions remain fully in force.
- Changes to Terms: Bambini Bricks reserves the right to amend these general terms. The amended terms take effect upon publication on the website and apply to all subsequent orders.

B. Rental Terms
These Rental Terms apply in addition to and in conjunction with the General Terms of Bambini Bricks. Belgian law applies to these terms. Competent court: Mechelen.
1. Definitions
- Lessor: Bambini Bricks.
- Lessee: The natural person who rents a set via the webshop and registers correctly.
- Set: The LEGO set including supplied accessories for temporary use.
- Rental period: The prepaid period per full week.
- Penalty: An amount owed in case of violation of these terms.
2. First Rental and Registration
- Registration requirement: For every rental, customer registration is required with a correct name, address, phone or mobile number and email. Logging in with this address and email is required to rent. In case of any discrepancy, we reserve the right to cancel or refuse the rental.
- First shipment: The first rental set is shipped only to the address in your registration, if you choose shipping.
- Payment check: Payments may be declined by the bank/card issuer through an additional 3D Secure (3DS) verification.
3. Choosing and paying
- Selection and payment: Choose a set in the webshop (LEGO rental section) and pay the full rental amount in advance.
- No deposit or mandatory subscription: There is no deposit and no mandatory membership fee.
- No changes upon pickup: No additional payments can be made on site and no other set can be chosen.
- VAT: Bambini Bricks does not charge VAT (small enterprise exemption scheme).
4. Rental period and extension
- Per week: Rental per full week, with the minimum per set as stated on the product page.
- Start of rental upon pickup: the rental starts on the day of pickup.
- Start of rental upon shipping: the rental starts on the day DPD registers the shipment as “collected/scanned” at a DPD Pickup Point or upon delivery at your chosen address, depending on the selected method.
- Extension: Extensions are possible per full week at the same rate. Notify us no later than the day before your rental ends via email (freddy@bambinibricks.com).
- Rebooking: After confirmation, you can rebook the same set for at least one or more weeks via the temporary link/button on the webshop.
5. Pickup and shipping
- Pickup: Saturday 9:00–12:00 at Liersesteenweg 467, 2800 Mechelen (also on public holidays unless stated otherwise). Bring your invoice (on paper or phone).
- Shipping: Shipping is possible to your address. DPD Pickup Point is available from your second rental onward.
- Proof documents: Keep your pickup receipt/shipping label; this serves as proof of the start and return moment.
- Authenticity and condition of the sets: All rented LEGO® sets consist of 100% original LEGO® parts and are delivered in good condition.
6. Return and return scan
- Picked up in person: Return the set on Saturday between 9:00–12:00 in the final week of your rental.
- Return by shipping: Sets that were shipped must be handed in and scanned at a DPD Pickup Point no later than the day stated in the update email. The email is sent approximately 2 days before the end of the rental; if it is not received, the contractual end date remains binding.
- Return date: The date and timestamp of the DPD scan count as the return date. Keep the proof.
7. Use and duty of care
- Careful use: Treat the set as if it were your own; use indoors, on clean and dry surfaces.
- Do not mix: Never mix your own LEGO or other bricks with our sets.
- Safety: Not suitable for children < 3 years (small parts). Use only under adult supervision. Avoid water, paint, glue and heat sources.
- Fragile parts: Valuable or exclusive parts require extra care; in case of serious damage, replacement costs apply.
8. Building instructions and extras
- Instructions: Digital building instructions are available for free via the link on our webshop.
- No paper instructions: No physical booklet is included.
- Included: Two brick separators are included as standard.
9. Disassembly and packaging
- Full disassembly: Carefully and fully disassemble the set.
- Estimated time: About 1 hour of disassembly per 1,000 pieces (non‑binding guideline).
- Packaging: Place parts back into the supplied bags/boxes, evenly distributed. Large parts separately; minifigures separately, without disassembling them.
- Inspection period: We check for damage and completeness within a maximum of 3 days after return. Our findings are binding, unless the lessee provides demonstrable counter‑evidence within 5 days after our notification.
10. Missing or damaged parts
- Self‑check: Check for completeness before returning.
- Report: Note damaged or missing parts on the included form; transparency is taken into account under normal circumstances.
- Cost schedule: Flat base amount €5.99 + €0.39 per gram for damaged/missing parts (non‑negotiable). For minifigures we follow the current prices on BrickEconomy. For motorised/electronic parts we follow the prevailing prices on BrickLink.
- Invoicing: You will receive the invoice no later than 3 days after the return inspection. Payment term: 14 days.
- Theft/exchange: In cases of clear theft or unauthorised swapping of parts, we will take appropriate legal action immediately; you will always have the opportunity to resolve a possible misunderstanding together first.
11. Cancellation
- Right of withdrawal: Rental is a service. Once the rental period has started, withdrawal is no longer possible.
- Cancellation before start: Cancellation is possible before shipping or pickup, with a fixed fee of €5.99. Preferably cancel by email (freddy@bambinibricks.com) including your order number.
12. Use and liability
- Private use: Rental is for private use only, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Sub‑rental is not permitted.
- Liability: The lessee is liable for loss, damage and theft during the rental period.
- Liability of the lessor: Bambini Bricks is not liable for indirect or consequential damage. This limitation does not apply in cases of intent, fraud or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including bodily injury.
- Set‑off: Costs according to article 10 may be set off against outstanding amounts or invoiced separately.
13. Subscription (from 01/01/2026)
- Duration and price: €29.99 for 1 year.
- End: Automatically ends after 1 year (no automatic renewal).
- Benefits: Lower or no shipping costs, the €5.99 fee for damage/loss handling is waived, minimum rental period of some sets is reduced, priority for popular/new sets.
14. Penalties and non‑return
- Cancellation: Fixed fee €5.99.
- Not disassembled: Sets not (fully) disassembled: up to 1500 parts = €14.99; up to 3000 parts = €29.99; more than 3000 parts = €59.99.
- Late return: Fixed fee €5.99 + additional rental per started week of delay (no maximum).
- Non‑return: Fixed fee €5.99 + the catalogue value of the set (as listed in the webshop at the time of ordering) + €49.99 for shipping boxes and materials + all costs related to the recovery of the penalty + interest.
- Missing/damaged parts: Fixed fee €5.99 + €0.39 per gram + separate rules for minifigures and motorised/electronic parts.
- + 3%: When the loss or damage exceeds 3% of the total number of parts or weight of the set, or when an essential or unique part is missing, Bambini Bricks reserves the right to charge the full catalogue value of the set.
- Recovery process: Reminder (email) after 1 day, warning (email) after 7 days, registered notice of default after 14 days, collection/bailiff after 28 days. All additional recovery costs are fully borne by the offender. An amicable settlement or payment plan is always possible.
- Cleaning: If we need to clean the set (sticky, dirty, stained, ...): fixed fee €5.99 + €24.99
- Interest: If applicable: on all previous points of section 14. For consumers (B2C): the legal interest rate; for businesses (B2B): the legal interest rate for commercial transactions, increased by a fixed recovery cost of €40.
15. Privacy
- Processing: We process your data for registration, execution of the rental, customer service and fraud prevention (including 3DS checks by the bank/card issuer).
- Information: Consult the privacy statement on our website for all details and your rights.
16. Final provisions
- Applicable law: Belgian law.
- Competent court: Mechelen.
- Priority: In case of contradictions with other communication, this text prevails unless otherwise confirmed in writing by Bambini Bricks.
- Changes: We may amend these terms; the current version with effective date is listed on the website.
